While sitting at home drawing, Nathan Ohlendorf was trying to hone his craft. Trying to come up with a style of art that would forever cement his name into the minds of artists and collectors alike. Realizing that this would never happen, he scribbled down a little drawing of a man with large eyebrows, He looked at this and said “This is CRAP!” and threw down his pencil, thinking he could forever abandon his dream of drawing. Later that week, while at an artist friend’s house, Nathan was proudly showing off some of his recent work, the other artist looked at his work and said “meh”. Nathan was distraught. Then the friend turned to the page with the scribbled man with the “large eyebrows”. He was amazed! He was astonished! He LOVED it! He then urged Nathan to draw more of these “Sad Little” guys. Nathan said, “But these are CRAP!?!?” With a little more encouragement, the SadLittles were born. Now Nathan draws CRAP everyday for the enjoyment of all! |
